Thai Bodywork courses are designed for anyone interested in learning to give an effective Thai Massage. The material is easy to learn and is focused on postures that are both safe and non stressful for the giver and receiver. Each day also includes specific warm up exercises and yoga stretches to prepare the students for a fun filled and safe day of practice.
This four-day intensive program will give you the skills and knowledge you need to begin practicing Thai Bodywork. You will learn a comprehensive 90 minute flow as well as learning the keys to smooth and efficient body mechanics, enabling you to dance your way through the massage.
Fundamentals of Thai Massage, energy work, basics of anatomy and efficient movement will be taught in an accessible, fun and connected way that focuses on intuition, mindfulness and loving-kindness.
At the end of the course, you will be presented with a certificate of completion. This class is intended to be complemented by the Thai Bodywork 2 course, to be offered in the fall; however, Level 1 can also be taken as a stand-alone program. There are no prerequisites for the course.
Participants will be provided with a handout outlining all of the techniques towards the end of the course.
